The Antrim Festival of Trees has returned to James A. Tuttle Library. For 2024, the theme is “Home for the Holidays,” and the festival runs through Dec. 31.

Participating groups include Antrim Boy Scouts, the Monadnock Roller Derby, the Antrim Historical Society, the VFW, Antrim Elementary School, Hancock Elementary School, Monadnock Quilters’ Guild, Edmunds Ace Hardware and the First Presbyterian Church of Antrim, as well as families and and individuals.

Area residents are invited to come into the library, eat homemade Christmas cookies, and vote for their favorite tree.

This year’s trees demonstrate a range of variations on the theme, including a Taylor Swift-themed tree by the Connolly grandchildren, a Halloween-themed tree by Susan Blair, “Love of Reading” by the A & B Book Group and “Let it Snow” by Sue Conklin.

Visitors to the library can also enter a raffle for this year’s holiday-themed quilt created by local quilters. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5. The 2024 raffle quilt is on display behind the circulation desk, and quilts from past years are on display throughout the library.

The Antrim Festival of Trees is  organized by the volunteer Festival of Trees Committee with the help and support of  the Friends, trustees and staff of the James A. Tuttle Library.

The Festival of Trees can be viewed whenever the Tuttle Library is open. Hours are Monday and Wednesday 2 to 6 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday 2 to 8 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Event information can be found at antrimfestivaloftrees.org or on the event’s Facebook page. For information, please send email to antrimfot@gmail.com or call 971-330-8835.
