Robert Beck to speak on foreign policy in Peterborough

Robert Beck will present “Key Foreign Policy Challenges for the Next U.S. President” at the Peterborough Town Library as part of its Peterborough Presents series on Wednesday, Oct. 23, at noon. Attendees are invited to bring their lunch for the free event.

Beck, a retired U.S. diplomat, will discuss key foreign policy issues the next president will face, including Russian aggression, tensions in the Middle East, the rise of China and climate change. Beck has served in U.S. embassies in Europe, the Middle East and Asia and teaches foreign policy at Keene State and Rivier College. He is also a frequent columnist for the Monadnock Ledger-Transcript.
