Letter: Thanks for helping fight hunger

Published: 10-18-2024 8:16 AM

We want to thank everyone who supported ConVal End 68 Hours of Hunger during September Hunger Action Month. Peterborough Fire & Rescue conducted another successful food drive. Alberto’s, Beepa & Lulu’s, Ben’s Sugar Shack, Brady’s, Common Place Eatery, Delay’s Harvester Market, Dublin General Store, Edmunds Hardware, Francestown Village Store, Grappelli’s, Hancock Market, Monadnock Country Club, Rick & Diane’s, Studio 105 and Toll Booth Tavern collected food and cash.

Thank you to all who left food in the collection bins or money in the jars. The number of food-insecure children receiving weekend food has increased dramatically, so your support means more than ever. Year-round collection bins are at Bixby Memorial Library, Dublin Community Church, Hancock Congregational Church, Peterborough Fire Department and Rick & Diane’s. Financial donations can be made at end68hoursofhunger.org, being sure to specify ConVal, or via check to ConVal End 68 Hours of Hunger, c/o SAU 1, 106 Hancock Road, Peterborough, NH 03458.

Anyone interested in volunteering is invited to contact me at convalnh@end68hoursofhunger.org. We’re so grateful to this wonderful community for your support during Hunger Action Month and throughout the year.

Linda Caracappa, for ConVal 68 Hours of Hunger
