PeterboroughSchofield landscapes on display at library

Earl Schofield’s paintings will be on display at the Peterborough Town Library Community Art Gallery, 2 Concord St., through February. The exhibition, "Encaustic Landscapes," explores themes of time, human experience and nature.

A reception will be held Thursday, Jan. 30, from 5 to 7 p.m., with Schofield giving a presentation on his artistic process at 6 p.m. Half of the proceeds from art sales will be donated to the Peterborough Food Pantry.

Schofield, a visual art teacher at the Dublin School, has exhibited work across New England and nationally. His encaustic process layers colored wax to symbolize resilience and the passage of time.

The Peterborough Town Library Community Art Gallery showcases work by students, emerging artists and community members. For details, visit peterboroughtownlibrary.org or call 603-924-8040.
