Letter to the Editor: Parents deserve credit for road trip

I would like the reader to understand that I --and I hope my siblings would agree -- had nothing to do with the concept and most of the execution of our family’s adventure (“California, Here We Come”). I was simply a 10-year-old bratty child that went along for the ride. And it was quite a ride.
There were so many side stories that are not noted in my mother’s diary, but I (and I believe my siblings) have nothing to brag about. All the credit for this trip should go to our mother, Anna “Nancy” Woodbridge Eaton and our dad, Tracy Archibald Eaton, who joined us later and held the homefront in Greenville. Dad also claimed that he had “done enough camping” while traveling the world with the Army during 1942 to 1946.
Another project that I could not execute by myself was the publishing of this pamphlet. I want to give a very heartfelt thanks to Ashley Saari, Bill Fonda and Heather McKernan of the Monadnock Ledger-Transcript and to Belletetes for their support. Belletetes has been a great place for my shopping needs for decades.
