On Saturday, 43 runners and 37 walkers participated in the annual Friends of the Poor 5K, the largest fundraiser for the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry in Greenville.

The race raises funds for the pantry, which serves New Ipswich, Temple, Greenville and Mason. Participants ranged in age from 8 to 83.

Top finisher was Evan Kendall, 30, who finished with a time of 17 minutes and 28.17 seconds, followed by Walter Muhonen, 28, with a time of 17:39.75, and Stieg Bertram, 15, of Rindge with a time of 21:22.44.

The top female finisher was Leanne Sargent, 33, of Mason, who finished 11th overall with a time of 25:38.75.
