Henry Walters of Monadnock Falconry will present Mahood the hawk on Sunday, Nov. 3, at 2 p.m. at Moose Brook Park, located behind the Fire Department on Bennington Road in Hancock.

Walters, a master falconer, will discuss the behavior of birds of prey and the unique bond between raptors and falconers.

Trained at Ireland’s School of Falconry, Walters has flown a variety of raptors, including peregrine falcons and Eurasian eagle-owls, and served as a raptor biologist with New Hampshire Audubon. He co-founded the New Hampshire Young Birders Club and actively integrates creative environmental education into his work.

This free event is open to the public. Attendees are asked to leave dogs at home to avoid distracting Mahood.
