Letter: Proud of Jaffrey's revival

I have been a cheerleader for Jaffrey for 47 years, but never so proud as I was emerging from the special Town Meeting last Saturday. An overflow crowd of citizens unanimously voted to approve the purchase of the TD Bank for a town office. We are thankful for our good sense and renewed pride in our town and are excited about the future.
This renaissance has been long in the making, from visionary officials and a now-informed populace who are catching a glimpse of the advantages we are soon to experience with this new birth. The next two years of community-betterment efforts will further boost citizen confidence and pride in the choice to live and work in Jaffrey.
The new town office will be a centerpiece, which highlights other positive changes. The development of the roundabouts with modern landscaping and the promise of future affordable and workforce housing add to the sense of revival. Other accessible resources clustered around the new facility along Main Street include the police station, Jaffrey Public Library and Jaffrey Civic Center, as well as several churches and the Woman's Club.
Jaffrey has got it together!
