Peterborough Concert Series will present "An Irish Christmas with Ishna" at the Peterborough Town House, 1 Grove St., Peterborough, on Friday, Dec. 20, at 8 p.m.
This annual performance features a mix of Irish music, dance and stories celebrating holiday traditions. Ishna, founded in Dublin in 2009 by Ciaran Nagle of the Three Irish Tenors and former "Riverdance" violinist Tara Novak, brings Irish culture to life through song, humor and performances.
The show highlights Novak’s fiddle tunes, Nagle’s vocals and storytelling and Gráinne Hambly’s harp. They are joined by their band and dancers Maureen and Kevin Doyle, who showcase traditional Irish step dancing. Additional performers include Dan Meyers on uilleann pipes, Bjorn Wennas on guitar, Brian O’Neill on bodhrán and percussion, and David McGrory on piano.
Tickets start at $35 and are available at peterboroughconcertseries.com. For information, visit the website.
