Lyndeborogh to host public hearings on community power

The Town of Lyndeborough will hold public hearings regarding the town’s community power plan Wednesday, Nov. 15, at 7 p.m. at Citizens’ Hall, 9 Citizens’ Hall Road, and Thursday, Nov. 16, at noon, at J. A. Tarbell Library, 136 Forest Road.

Lyndeborough is considering implementing community power,  which would allow it to enter into electric services agreements with competitive electric power suppliers to serve the electric supply needs of residents and small businesses in Lyndeborough. The intent is to pool electricity demand and use the power of the competitive market to receive cost savings and more local renewable energy supply choices.

The draft plan is available at town.lyndeborough.nh.us/community-power-committee. Residents unable to attend the hearing can submit comments in writing to  Lyndeborough Community Power Committee, 9 Citizens' Hall Road Lyndeborough, NH 03082.
