Monadnock Are Transitional Shelter receives grant for Hope Fund

Monadnock Are Transitional Shelter (MATS) recently received a grant from the New Hampshire Women’s Foundation.

The money is earmarked for the Hope Fund at MATS, a fund established in honor of longtime board member Hope Pettegrew. The Hope Fund is used to help MATS guests procure and maintain reliable vehicles, a factor in employment stability and economic independence.

The New Hampshire Women’s Foundation invests in opportunity and equality for women and girls through research, advocacy, education, grant-making and philanthropy.
