The opening night for Music in the Park in Depot Park in Peterborough is Friday, July 12, with the return of the Sugar Kings – a Boston-based quartet known for traditional Afro-Cuban tunes, rumba flamenca and salsa.
All concerts are free, and are from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
New this year on July 19 is the Club Soda Band. This four-piece band’s music includes pop, classic rock and country.

On Aug. 16 is the Paul Klemperer Band. Originally from Boston, Klemperer now lives in Austin, Texas, where he works as a bandleader, teacher, composer and writer. He has been with the summer music series from the beginning, and his music features elements of jazz, rhythm-and-blues legends and his own compositions.
