Peter Sykes to perform for Muusic 4UU in Peterborough

Organist Peter Sykes will perform Saturday, May 31, at 4 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 25 Main St., Peterborough. Doors open at 3:30 p.m.
The concert, presented by Muusic 4UU, will feature baroque and classical works by Bach, Buxtehude, Mendelssohn, Scheidt, Böhm and Gade on the historic E.G.&G. Hook organ, installed in 1867 and restored in 2004. Sykes previously dedicated the organ in recital following its restoration.
Sykes is chair of the historical music performance department at Boston University and teaches harpsichord at The Juilliard School. He also serves as director of music at First Congregational Church of Cambridge.
Admission is free, with a suggested donation of $20. The venue is fully accessible.
