Peterborough Players present ‘Grounded’

The Peterborough Players' Arts on Screen season will present the Met Opera’s “Grounded” on Saturday, Oct. 19, at 1 p.m. This live HD stream is based on the play by George Brant and follows Jess, a female F-16 pilot, whose unexpected pregnancy leads her to operate reaper drones, raising themes of PTSD and the emotional cost of drone warfare.

With a libretto by Brant and music by Jeanine Tesori, “Grounded” offers a contemporary twist on opera, sung in English. The show runs hours and 45 minutes with one intermission, Single tickets are $30, and the Barn Door Pass is $165.
