ConVal High grad Sophia Lake of Hancock wins NE10 breaststroke title

Assumption University freshman Sophia Lake of Hancock, a ConVal High School graduate, won the 100 breaststroke in a time of 1:06.16 during the recent Northeast-10 Conference Swimming and Diving Championship.

She also finished fifth in the 200 breast and 13th in the 200 individual medley. She was part of four relay teams, the 800 free (fourth), 400 medley (fourth), 200 medley (third) and 400 free (fifth).

She was Northeast-1o Rookie of the Week for Jan. 21, after winning all eight races she swam in meets against CSI and Saint Michael’s.
