Peterborough Town Library, 2 Concord St., will host a new monthly program, The PTL Dinner Club, and the first meeting will be Thursday, June 13 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Imagined as a cookbook club-meets potluck, the library is inviting local foodies to gather on the second Thursday of the month outside the library on the River Terrace, weather permitting, or in the Eben Jones Classroom. Each month will feature a new cuisine or cooking theme, with the June theme being “Cookbook Favorites.” Guests are invited to make and bring their favorite dish from a cookbook.

“We wanted to offer the community a fun way to get out of their cooking comfort zones and share, chat, and connect with their neighbors over food,” stated program host Rebecca Enman, the library’s new program and outreach coordinator. “Whether you love to cook or bake, or want to improve your cooking skills, our goal with the dinner club is to create a fun place to gather and talk tips and tricks while we sample new cuisines. Even if your dish didn’t turn out great, come and tell us why!”

The dinner club is free to attend and open to everyone. The library will provide plates, bowls, napkins, basic utensils, sparkling water and green tea. Participants are asked to bring their own serving ware. Registration is not required but appreciated, and can be done through the event page on the library website, peterboroughtownlibrary.org.
