Volunteers from the Grand Monadnock Rotary Club served ice cream to students at Mountain Shadows School’s’ annual Field Day last week to thank the school for raising over $4,000 for Rotary with its annual Read-a-Thon.

The Hancock Summer Concert Series will open Thursday, June 26, with a free performance by Susie Burke and Kent Allyn from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on the town common.

The 2025 Music on the Common summer concert series at Oak Park in Greenfield will begin Tuesday, June 24, with Off Our Rockers. Concerts take place Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. and are free to the public.

“76 Days Adrift," a documentary based on Steven Callahan’s survival memoir "Adrift: 76 Days Lost at Sea," will screen Friday through Sunday, June 20 to 22, at The Park Theatre, 19 Main St., Jaffrey. Showtimes are Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 2 and 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.

Following on the heels of closures in Keene and Peterborough, the Jaffrey Rite Aid Pharmacy is the next to shutter, along with multiple other stores in New Hampshire. The closing is part of a plan to eventually shut down all Rite Aid locations across the country.
