Letter: Goodlander’s record and a call for positive campaigning

I have been to three events with Maggie Goodlander and am convinced that her experience in all three branches of government in Washington, D.C., is a very important asset.
She was working for us in the Granite State and for all Americans when she worked on the Reproductive Rights Task Force, and also when she was on the team of lawyers working to impeach Donald Trump. While at these gatherings, I never heard Goodlander, her volunteers or her supporters say anything negative about her Democratic opponent in the primary.
Now her opponent is implying in negative ads that Goodlander is not pro-choice and not a defender of women’s right to health care. He is also implying that the fact that she was in Washington, rather than here in New Hampshire, meant that she was not working for us here. I am sorry that he has resorted to this kind of negativity and not stuck with simply declaring his own qualifications.
Anyone who looks at Goodlander’s resume will see that she is very highly qualified for the job of being our congresswoman, a worker for us here in New Hampshire and for our fellow Americans.
